Claims
Gatorade is one of the many brands of sports drinks available. It claims to provide better hydration than water for athletes because it contains carbohydrates, electrolytes and in some forms, vitamins. Many active people drink Gatorade to stay hydrated  during athletic activities.

"G2 " is a low-calorie electrolyte drink, an endurance formula with extra electrolytes for endurance athletes.

Uses
Gatorade's primary  use is for hydration before, during, or after physical activity. Although Gatorade was designed as a sports drink, anyone can drink it as a beverage. It has a sweet flavor and fewer calories then fruit juice or soft drinks.

Benefits
The two main benefits of Gatorade are the energy boost from its carbohydrate content and the electrolyte replenishment from sodium, potassium and chloride. These minerals are lost through sweat, and failure to replace electrolytes when hydrating can lead to headache, fatigue, muscle cramps and upset stomach, and can also hinder athletic performance.

ANALYSIS

Video 1- Lock It Up Gatorade
The commercial was so captivating and clever because of the ambiguity behind it. We all know Kevin Garnet, Dwayne wade, Michael Jordan, Jerry Walsh, Chaz Ortiz, Nigel Sylvester, Mia Hamm, Serena Williams, Sean Malto, one of our most outstanding athletes worldwide choose Gatorade G. Gatorade put together a winning formula with their new campaign that started with the G campaign. The beat and compilation of practically every great highlight in sports (specifically, 2009 highlights) across multitude of sports is awesome to watch in a shorts 30 second clip. It inspires all the athletes especially in having it as the energy drink in sports cups which is what Gatorade is most famous for.

Video 2- Gatorade The Winning Formula

It shows effective performance that is higher than its expectations. "If you’re a fraction off, it can change everything. And in the lab where Gatorade scientists test and retest athletes so we know exactly what their bodies demand. Precision counts – out there and in here."
As Darren Rovell notes in his book, “First in Thirst” on Gatorade marketing, the genius of Gatorade’s marketing crew (at Quaker Oats) is that they recognize that no matter who drinks it, the brand positioning has to focus on serious athletes, “Although the amount of incidental usage (people drinking Gatorade who are not working out) is increasing, Quaker officials discovered early on that the mystique will be broken if the brand is at all steered away from sports.” In other words, Gatorade marketing works when it shows great athletes getting better, not invigorated couch potatoes.

REVIEWS

Calorie Sports Drink with Full Flavor
"Gatorade's new G2 line of sports drinks have half the calories of the original Gatorade. One of the great things about Gatorade G2 is that those are energy calories, versus the fat calories that just sit there. Another plus to Gatorade's G2 is that they have powder packets you can mix in a 16.9- ounce bottled water and poof, instant sports drink. I work hard when I'm in the gym and finished drenched in sweat, soaking through my shirts. That said,  I'm losing a lot of fluid and electrolytes during during my workouts and need the hydration Gatorade G2 provides. I don't drink it instead of water though. I drink it in addition to water."

Gatorade G2 Low Calorie Is My Substitute For Soda

"I cannot tell you enough how great this product is. The first thing that came to mind was that it tasted like flavored rain! It tasted so crirsp and delightful that I believe I'm addicted to it! I drink bottle after bottle and I'm glad too because those bottles would otherwise be soda. I'm so glad I found a drink like this because the sugar content for the whole entire bottle is 12 GRAMS!! For 8 Fl oz (Size of a soda) is 5 GRAMS! So to compare soda, which depending on the soda has 30-60 Grams a soda in 8 Fl. oz,  to gatorade, which has 5 grams is awesome. On top of that, G2 low calories don't use High Fructose Corn Syrup which is a HUGE plus."
